to California Bound! Bring our covered wagon encampment to your school and visit with "Sarah and Alan Montgomery," overland pioneers with the Stephens-Townsend-Murphy Party of 1844. Most suitable for grades 3-5, this program compliments your classroom studies of westward expansion, California history and the Gold Rush, and the overland trail. Through storytelling, hands-on activities, and demonstrations, students will hear about the people who first succeeded in bringing wagons over the Sierra Nevada mountains.
